Default RIP: My beloved Archos AV-500 DVR fried

After a few shot of rum and watching futurama, I went to charge my beloved Archos AV-500 100gb DVR. I use a universal adapter for most of my stuff because I hate having dozens of chargers and not being able to find the right one. Anyway, I was charging my campping lantern which I had the adapter set for 15v, I forgot to switch the voltage (the Archos take 3-4 volts to charge) and plugged it in. Poof. 600 bucks down the drain (bought it long ago). Took it apart to see if I can find an obvious blown circuit on the PCB but alas I can't. The HD still works so at least I can get my video and music off, but damn, I am gonna miss it.

DONT DRINK AND CHARGE!!!!!!!

I know! I'm looking at it right now, laying on my desk all taken apart. I made a vow to fix it. I WILL narrow down what shorted!
