Default Realtek ALC888

I recently installed iPC 10.5.6 on a computer I built, and it worked fine. Pretty much as smooth of an install as one could have hoped for...BUT then I did something stupid. I ran osx86 tools and used PCI utils to "update my hardware drivers". It basically rendered my NIC and Audio useless - they were both working fine before.

So I went onto the install disk and extracted the "extensions.mkext" and found the original NIC kext on there. I installed it and that fixed my networking problems...unfortunately I cannot find the kext for the Realtek ALC888. Does anyone know where on the iPC install disk I can find the orignal kext that supports that sound codec? If not, is there a 10.5.6 kext I can download for the realtek audio? Thanks.

I don't know what motherboard you have, but here's my drivers for the DS3L with ALC888:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/lyhvxt52gmm/eric.zip

1. In the "Kext" folder, use Kext Helper to install the HDAEnabler driver
2. In the "Taruga" folder, drop the codec txt file onto the Turtle icon to patch the audio driver
3. Reboot

Make sure that Audio is enabled in the BIOS!
