Based on the evidence, I don't think JFK's death was a conspiracy. There's little solid evidence to prove there was a shooting in the grassy knoll. Ballistics line up with Oswald being the shooter. The Zapruder film and photos from that day corroborate this.
That said, I don't think many tears were shed in the highest halls of power over his death. It's well known that a lot of higher ups in Washington didn't care for his policies, especially towards the USSR.
