'Babylon 5' star Michael O'Hare dies at 60
http://www.11alive.com/news/article/...are-dies-at-60
Stage and television actor Michael O'Hare, best known for his role as Commander Sinclair on the 90s science fiction series "Babylon 5" died Friday at the age of 60 from complications related to a heart attack last weekend.
News of O'Hare's passing first came from television writer/producer and "Babylon 5" creator J. Michael Straczynski's Facebook page.
On the stage, O'Hare won acclaim in the role of Colonel Jessup in the stage version of "A Few Good Men" before Jack Nicholson made the role familiar to movie audiences in the 1992 motion picture version of the play.
In Valens name.

... They're all passing away one by one, with no possibility of Babylon 5 sequel in sight...

That boat has long since sailed.
Hopefully someday they will reboot the series with state of the art special effects.

Commander Sinclair goes beyond the Rim... Yet another of the Babylon 5 cast dead, The One That Was. RIP Michael O'Hare.
Zathras would not approve... but he's dead too (at least there is symmetry).

leave it alone. improved eye candy can't replace the original actors in the roles they defined.

"I'd like to live just long enough to be there when they cut off your head and stick it on a pike as a warning to the next ten generations that some favors come with too high a price. I would look up into your lifeless eyes and wave like this. Can you and your associates arrange that for me, Mr. Morden?"

RIP.
Some people don't like O'Hare's acting in the first season, and I can kind of understand. I think the problem is that he has the presence of a stage actor and never quite got comfortable with TV acting. So it was probably a good thing that the show switched to Sheridan. Still always liked Sinclair though, and love the War Without End episode.

The 1st season just sucked period. It might have been necessary to set the backstage in preparation for the 2nd season, but for me, the 1st and the last season (with the telepaths gayily holding hands and singing before committing mass suicide) take away from what was a very very good show. Whenever I recommend the series to someone, they often quit half way through the 1st season, and I understand why.

He has a conservative talk radio show. His name is Jerry Doyle, if you want to look him up.

Garibaldi actually married Talia Winters in real life. It just lasted a couple of years.

I can honestly say that I don't know who this person is because I've never watched the show during my lifetime.

werd.
Londo and Gkar's story arc could have been its own show.

I don't think it needs rebooted, just written forward in time...O'Hare's character was completely gone anyway and so in that regard it doesn't matter, unless they would have done a show focused on Valen, which would have been nice, actually.

I would have liked to see more of season 2-4 of B5 and mostly a lot more season 4 with the Earth civil war. I HATED season 5 and the Rangers crap they added later in the miniseries and movies. Just did nothing for me.
The Earth Alliance did it for me, I liked that Earth wasn't the top of the food chain, I liked the ships and thought they were feasible. Especially the Starfuries. I wanted more of the focus on that struggle instead of the Ranger stuff.
But it's pretty impossible I think now, so many of the cast has died and G'Kar and Londo made the show. A show focused more on the Earth Alliance and it being eclipsed by the epic struggle between G'Kar and the Narn against Londo and the Centauri is what I wanted.
And fuck the Minbari.
