That's a great price... is that a decent SSD drive as far as performance?

not a good performer. If it was the v200+ it would be worth it.

For <$0.50/GB it's hard to go wrong, may not be the fastest SSD out there but should be a lot faster than HDD now that Kingston has worked out the kinks with this particular drive. Think I'm going to try one out in my laptop, thanks OP

Decided to go ahead and snag one. I figure for the price, even if it's not a great SSD, it's still better than the HDD in the machine now...
Thanks OP.

$57.77 after tax
I got one. My laptop is SATA1 only... so I don't care if it is a great performer.
That's an awesome price.
My laptop grinds on the HDD all the time.
Watch a 1min YouTube video? NOPE. Grind...grind...grind.
Launch any applications? Grind...grind...grind.
Just browsing ATOT, it grinds every 10sec. or so.
Thanks for posting OP... especially the $25 off coupon!
I scrolled half way down and the first one I chose worked.

Kinda confused on the 64GB or 128GB part of the name vs description. May not be nearly as hot as you think...

There is a drop down on the right. You can select the size you want.
64gb is ~$55, but can't use the $25 off $75 coupon.

Kingston SV200S37A/ 128G SSDNow V200 64GB 2.5" SATA III (6 Gb/s) MLC Internal SSD (Solid State Drive)
Does not compute. I see the drop down menu, but there is conflicting data on the original link. It may be just a typo, but I still thought it was worth mentioning.

Probably a good buy for those who only have SATA2 drives.

Thanks, OP. I snagged one. Yes, the description is off but the model number is correct. Just order one, it will be fine.
I don't understand everyone needing the absolute fastest SSD on the planet. These things annihilate platter drives, even the old slow ones. I'm running a first gen Intel 40GB in my HTPC and it's almost instant. My main computer has an older 96GB Kingston and I don't think I need Word to load up 0.2 seconds faster for more money.

I just snagged one even though I said it was not a good performer :-) . 128gb SSD for $57.36 (tax+s/h) is a good deal, and I plan on installing this in my wife's laptop. thanks OP

I am kind of debating this myself. For extra $30 you can get Samsung 128GB 830 SSD and call it a day. Big performance difference in Samsung's favor.

In for one. Hard to pass up at $57.36.
Don't currently have an ssd so this will be an improvement over my 7200k.

I jumped on it few days ago as well. Not the fastest drive, especially since I am already using Crucial M4 as my primary drive, but for the price, I couldn't stop myself from pulling the trigger. lol

My desktop PC mainboard is only SATA2 so this will be fine for now and much better than my 7200 rpm hard drive. At 46 cents a GB delivered, I couldn't resist. I like the 7mm size also. An ultrabook can only take this size.
Thanks for the heads up RBK

Got mine today. It said expected delivery date 9/18, but got it today.
Came with bare drive and spacer only.
I was hoping it had cloning software with it.
I'll have to find another source.

Got mine as well - shipped straight from Kingston. It has the latest firmware (E120506A) so no need to upgrade it.
