The censorship in China was probably the most difficult thing to deal with. They have free proxy sites setup that you can use if you're just there on vacation that are sorta effective but most people who want to actually access the internet pay a small fee each month so that they can get a VPN and much better internet access.

The Great Firewall of China really sucks.

I heard when Mcdonalds came to China, the Chinese would hit the drive through, pick up their food, then walk inside to eat.

Chinese people are idiots.

If the line inside is super long I'll hit the drive through if the line is shorter and then eat at the restaurant. I'm not even sure what's stupid about this. When the opposite is true I get out of my car and go in the restaurant to get my food. You're stupid for standing in a long line.

I guess you are not smart enough to realise there is a much shorter service cycle time for drive through compared to walk in.

It means they get their food faster...

Who is the idiot now?

Definitely a YMMV situation. I tend to scan the parking lot as I head towards the drive-thru. If the lot is pretty empty but the drive-thru line is long, I'll go in. 95% of the time that's faster.

Every place with a drive-thru is focused on getting those orders filled quickly, but realistically when there are a lot of cars in the drive-thru line and nobody at the counter, going to the counter is generally faster even if they are filling two drive-thru orders for every one counter order.

It was just to help Sofitia out of his ignorance.

I do the same thing. It's also better than wasting gas at a long drive through line.

I usually find the opposite, to be honest. And this does not include any particular fast food chain, it is any place with a drive thru window.

Calling someone an idiot over an unsubstantiated claim makes one the biggest idiot.

I think Americans would be better off without half of the drek they 'create' in Hollywood. This piece of work MIB, is no exception. I personally don't get the appeal.

Do you have a better alternative than the "drek" created in hollywood?

Here is a little context for you. I was just responding to Sofitia. At the time of McD intro to China, the drive throughs were not busy, so people walked up to them to order as opposed to wait inside in the lineup.

Drive through is prioritised because lining cars up take a lot more space than people.

and here is a study done by university students

Well I did state "half" of the drek, so perhaps the other half? I actually am partial to movies from Hollywood's Golden Age, of which, this currently isn't it.

Or here's another suggestion: how about books, or actual communication and active family involvement?
