What's more offensive is the lack of an f in the title.

I have no problem with that shirt. However, I also have no problem with a private company refusing her service for any reason.

If the word fuck isn't really that big of a deal, why did you NSFW this thread? Because there's a time and a place for using it. Going out in the general public to fly on an airplane is not the proper time to wear profanity.

People used to wear suits and dresses to fly. Today they wear fuck shirts.
Now get off my lawn!

Contrary to popular belief, there *IS* a dress code on most airlines. It's WAY more strict for friends and family of employees (belt and button-up collared shirt: required).

They could have simply asked her to change her shirt, then.
EDIT: Didn't come out as I intended it before.

That's exactly what they asked her to do.
The shawl thing sounds like she's resisting. She should have flipped it inside-out and then put on the shawl.

...and yet, how difficult would it have been, for the t-shirt maker to make it say f*ck (or f**k, or f***)??
The airline has the right to protect its other passengers from your cursing, if not your bad taste. Just because Hollywood has made the word more common in film & TV, doesn't necessarily mean that people want their elementary school aged children to read it on your t-shirt.
Is it legal to wear it? Yes. Is it in bad taste? Same answer.
