Came here to post that. It's really the best way to choose a best bang-for-buck pair of IEMs.

I have a pair of triple-fi's for stationary listening but I picked up a pair of cx500's for walking around with off amazon for about $30 and they sound decent too.

I missed the backing stage for this kickstarter company, but the next pair of earbuds I buy will be from them. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...the-status-quo

Completely modular and far more affordable than the next modular earphone design. If you don't want a pair that breaks, go modular as the cables will go no matter what price you pay for them!
