Sheriff Joe's Birthapalooza live at 3 ET
He will be reporting on his posse's findings. WND has a live link. Refuse to go there to provide said link.
This should be fun either way!

I have no idea what you're talking about. I vaguely recall that "sheriff Joe" is a sheriff in Arizona who has received some national attention relating to the issue of illegal immigration. I have no idea what a Birthapalooza is. Please provide some context.

Sorry sheriff Joe Arpaio, Arizona, did his own investigation into Obamas birth cert. He was announcing his findings today.

Well in that case, gee, I can't imagine what his "findings" might be. I'm all on pins and needles here.

Doesn't he have some actual cold cases to investigate?

No matter what his "findings" are he has surely helped cement Arizona's reputation as the Florida of the southwest.

I've never heard of a law official needing an election before. What's with the U.S. and its fetish with making every position an elected one? Judges, prosecutors, police officers... There are obvious benefits to making these positions elected, but serious and very real downsides as well. You're taking serious jobs and turning them into popularity contests.

I can't believe people are still wasting time on this "issue".

I wonder if Sheriff Joe will allocate the proceeds from his book to help cover the tens of millions of dollars in legal settlements paid by the county for wrongful actions taken at the jails he is responsible for running?

Elections for judges are a terrible idea that I wish we'd get rid of, although I do approve of the option for the voters to remove particularly bad judges (former California chief justice Rose Bird is a good example of when that sort of thing is needed.)

From WND :
Quote:
|
PHOENIX – An investigative “Cold Case Posse” launched six months ago by “America’s toughest sheriff” – Joe Arpaio of Arizona’s Maricopa County – has concluded there is probable cause that the document released by the White House last year as President Obama’s birth certificate is a computer-generated forgery.
|
Quote:
|
Arpaio, at a news conference in Phoenix live-streamed by WND TV that began at 3 p.m. Eastern time, has elevated the investigation to a criminal probe that will make the resources of his Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office available to his volunteer posse.
|
Quote:
|
In addition, investigators say they have developed credible evidence that President Obama’s Selective Service card was a forgery, based on an examination of the postal date stamp on the document.
|
Quote:
|
Also, records of Immigration and Naturalization Service cards filled out by passengers arriving on international flights originating outside the United States in the month of August 1961, examined at the National Archives in Washington, D.C., are missing records for the week of President Obama’s birth.

So..... any mention about the State of Hawaii validating the birth record, time and again... which should end the whole discussion immediately...
I'm almost tempted to check the circle jerk going on at FR right now. Almost.

Actually yes.
Quote:
Mike Zullo, Arpaio’s lead investigator, said his team believes the Hawaii Department of Health has engaged in a systematic effort to hide from public inspection any original 1961 birth records it may have in its possession.
“Officers of the Hawaii Department of Health and various elected Hawaiian public officials may have intentionally obscured 1961 birth records and procedures to avoid having to release to public inspection and to the examination of court-authorized forensic examiners any original Obama 1961 birth records the Hawaii Department of Health may or may not have,” Zullo said.

A poster takes a view of an upcoming event that he hates and politically disagrees with and then refuses to provide a link to it so people can check it out themselves while he preempts someone else from posting on the subject. That's a pretty tricky way of limiting the debate. Only a liberal Democrat would have thought of such a sleazy way to control a subject, my kudos to the scumbag OP.

Definitely need a Congressional investigation. Get Issa on top of this. Birth control worked out so great, time to double down on the birth issues and go for the birth certificate

I'd say it was a little more of the equivalence of not dignifying something with a response. It doesnt' deserve to be discussed except as a joke. We all know it's total bullshit, even the people who are making the claims know deep down they wouldn't question the birth of a white President. And from your posting history, I'm not sure you have a leg to stand on calling someone else a scumbag.
