Default iPad or Droid Tablet for a 4yr old...educational apps

Hi:

I would like to purchase a iPad or Tablet for my 4yr old to use with educational apps.

Which do you think is more suited for this and offers a better selection?

Thanks!

Mitch

iOS has the better app selection.
You can probably get a crappy Android tablet for cheaper if you are concerned about damage.

Quality of apps vs. cost.

I like Android, but for this iOS wins by a lot.

Of course the other issue is will a 4 yr old tear up a tablet. I would get a used iPod Touch instead.

But for children's books, I think the Nook Tablet would be nice.

iPad, I have hundreds of educatiOnal apps for mine. Last night my 4 year old was tracing words and drawing a picture on the iPad that I then emailed to grandParents
