Default Is there a way to stop mail that isn't mine?

I just moved into a new apartment. I get about 10-20 pieces of mail everyday for other people. Its quite ridiculous. Is there some way to stop this? I know you can change your address with USPS but can you block people?

If it's junk mail supplied with return envelopes, you could try stuffing all your junk into one or two of them and sending them off...

return to sender stamp on all of them. Throw them back in the mail box. They stop quickly after doing that once or twice.

Put a label on the mailbox with the last name of who you will accept mail being sent to.

Forward it to someone else.

Or just return to sender.

Write "return to sender: not at this address" on the envelope and throw them all back into the mailbox.

Open it! Anything good like birthday money from grandma - yours! Keep that address and ask for more.

Anything else send to Nigeria.
