Default 30 pin iPhone dock connector broke, anyway to fix it?

I got a mophie juice pack air on Friday. It worked great all of friday, then yesterday it wouldn't charge and kept saying that the device was incompatible with the iphone. Once I got home from work I tried charging the phone on the computer, no luck. Tried charging it on the wall, no luck. Tried another external battery, no luck. I have tried restarting the iphone and computer with no luck. I am assuming now the 30 pin dock connector is broken. I found a local company that will fix it for $59. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

It sucks cause I have someone lined up to buy it on the 24th when I get the iPhone 4.

Definitely sounds like you broke it. Looking at ebay, you can get just that piece for about $10 and if you are comfortable with opening the iPhone (instructions at iFixit.com) then it looks reasonably simple to replace. No soldering or anything required.
