How do I transfer events from iPhone to Google Calendar?
This is a fail-safe measure that I want to take since I use iPhone calendar almost everyday and I need Google Calendar to have the same events data in case I lose my phone. I follow the step on this page:
http://www.google.com/support/mobile...40&topic=14252.
I am using a hacked 1st Gen iPhone with Tmobile network, no 2G or 3G, just good old-fashion Wi-Fi connection.
I just check Google Calendar on my laptop, it's still empty..how do I transfer events from iphone calendar to google canlendar?

That's how you do it (I set mine up this way). Works perfectly.
Then again, I'm not on a hacked iPhone either.

Hey Ns1, while you are here, mind answering my private message?
Btw, now I open the iPhone Calendar, I see three options: "All Calendars", "All on My iPhone", and "All XXX@gmail.com". But the "XXX@gmail.com" calendar is empty, I thought since it's "supposely" synced, shouldn't it have events from iPhone Cal already?

Did you go to m.google.com/sync on your iPhone and check what calendars are being synced?
I have a unlocked first gen as well, and my Google Calendar syncs with my iPhone fine (as long as I have wifi)

m.google.com/sync shows all my "shareable" calendars. default speg@gmail.com, and some other ones that I import in gmail. My iphone then shows all these (and it's own default one). You turned the calendar part on in the exchange setup right?

I think the problem is that IHAVEAQUESTION is trying to sync his existing iCal calendar TO his google calendar. The solution you guys provide seems to be to sync his GOOGLE calendar down to his iPhone. Once this is done you can add events to this calendar and the events go to both the iphone and google which is fine, but isn't what he's trying to do.
I just followed the procedures in here with my iPod touch. I know the contacts synced fine as all my google contacts are now messing up my address book. However, my existing iCal calendars are not in google calendars.

Silverpig, thx for getting it. It's from iCal to gCal, not the other way around. I have it synced to my laptop outlook calender now, although I would've preferred an online solution, gCal, to this.

My Google calendar & contacts are set up via Exchange to push in both directlons.
I think the easiest thing to do is to sync with iCal/Outlook and then try and import all of those into your google calendar. I think in iCal I literally dragged it from the local calendar to the online one. Then disable sync of the calendar to iCal/Outlook and exclusively do it via Exchange to Google Calendar. I did something similar the first time and it was a pain in the butt at first, but now its a piece of cake, and my iCal, Google Calendar, and iPhone all sync bidirectionally.

On my iPhone I have 3 google calendars which I selected through Googles mobile site. They sync with my iPhone & iCal. I have more google "subcalendars" which I choose not to sync. Since my calendars are all in the cloud, I don't need to have any sync from iTunes/iCal.

Thanks. So i guess you have the default iCal and three other gCals on ur iPhone.
I really just want one calendar on my iPhone. It's redundant to have more than one, at least for my usage purpose.

Hi on my iPhone 5 I have one calendar which is located within my "On My iPhone" account and one which is located within my "iCloud" account. How do I merge these to and transfer them go my Google calendar?
Thanks for your help.

You cannot unfortunately ~merge~ different account to which you sync your iphone data. I.e. - iCloud contacts, calendars, notes are kept separate from contacts, calendars, notes synced to your Gmail account via Exchange or any other protocol (ex CardDAV/CalDAV).
Most you can do is transfer your local iPhone calendar to your Gmail account if you haven't already done so.

Export your iPhone calendar into ICS format to your computer, then log in to your Google account and use the "Import calendars" function. The steps outlined here: Import iphone calendar to Google
You can try do the above via mainstream methods but this could prove complicated:
1. disable your iCloud calendar sync on your iPhone - upon prompt select "Keep on my iPhone"
2. Open iTunes and connect your iPhone - navigate to the Info tab and scroll down to "Sync Calendars with" - select Outlook and click "Apply"
3. Now sync your iPhone calendar with
4. Once you have your iPhone calendar in Outlook, open Outlook and export your calendars to ICS format
5. Log in to your Google account and import the ICS via the "Import calendars" function
