Default How much fat does the george foreman grill remove from meat (especially gound beef?)?

I started a diet a while ago, but i still want to eat some tasty foods. I figure with the grill, i can eat burgers fairly often if i remove enough fat. Trouble is, i can't find out how much fat it removes (been looking around on google, NOTHING). I'm surprised there aren't any studies done on this?

I would have to say that grilling on the GF or BBQ provides the least amount of fat in a burger.
BTW, I love my George Foreman grill.

Use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.

Also, keep in mind, if you buy ground round, or sirloin, the fat content will be minimal anyway.

Just go buy some 95/5 or 96/4. Already lean and will only get leaner on the Foreman.

And have the flavor of cardboard.Eat it once a week and eat clean the rest of the week. Also leave off the Cheese and Mayo (if you are sick enough to use Mayo on your Burger)

Just get the ~95% lean beef, or buy ground chicken or turkey. Boca burgers are good also.

As long as you cook them right you really do not need to worry about the fat content, as you should be execising anyway.

how much fat it removes depends on:
how much fat was in it to begin with
how thick your burger is
how much you cook it (medium rare, medium, medium well, well, etc.)

I usually cook them medium-well to well done... and i have them pretty thin.

Plus, i poke holes in it while it's cooking and that seems to release more fat (and juice i guess).

Well, it depends on how much fat is there to begin with. Pick organic meat and there will be little fat to burn off. That would be my suggestion for a diet.

If you're having trouble fitting an occasional burger in to your diet, you're either are one of those lame-ass new age diets for people that think there is some miracle to it, or you're trying to lower your body fat % down to only a few points.

It's not WHAT you eat, it's HOW MUCH you eat.
