Default How long does it take Citibank to post a payment?

Last night at 10:47ish, and it hasn't gone through. Most time, Bank of America (my checking account) has payments listed in hours. How long does it take Citibank to draw funds and pay the CC?

Citibank is one of the faster ones, I've never seen it take over 2 days.

When did you set it to withdraw the money?

You should have contacted ShitiBank and told them to freeze your interest. You will no doubt have lingering interest accumulation. That is, you pay the total on day 1, by day 2 you have accumulated more interest, day 3 the balance from day day 1 is paid, but day 2 and 3 remain. Pay day 2 and 3 while day 4 and 5 accumulate. These loan sharks are nasty, nasty effing a55holes. Even though its unlikely that i will live beyond 40 i hope to free myself from their clutches which has become VERY diffult with dumbYa and a repug congress.

Did you initiate the payment from BOFA's bill pay or through CitiBankCards.com?

My CitiBankCards.com payments are usually processed the same day before 1PM EST or the next business day. The funds are usually withdrawan from my credit union 2-3 business days after.

YES! Rossman's here...now I'm safe...I initiated the payment through Citi...

Does processed mean your balance that you owe goes to $0, or does that happen after the funds are withdrawn?

It usually takes a day or two for me. Since it was late at night, I'm not surprised that it hasn't posted yet. Don't sweat it.

If you got a card through BoA, you could pay it off instantly... that's how it worked with my bank anyway. I'm going to switch back once I have enough reward money for a check. I don't think it's worth the hassle of two separate websites, waiting for payments, etc.

I think I may do that...I've got $9.33 in rewards and I've had the card for a little over a month...

Yes, the f*ckers will use every cheap trick in the book. You think it will be paid off. It even says $0.00 balance at the time of payment and then at the end of the billing period, they sneak in like $0.05 interest. Thinking you paid it off, you don't look at and send in the rest and bam, $30 late fee. F*cking f*ckers!!!

It's a service, not a gift. They're in it to make money.

How do they get off charging interest on money that you don't owe them anymore?
