I'm curious as to what temperature other people are posting on this card. Mine is showing about 54C idle and around 90C when playing games (stock cooling). I have it set to oc at XTX levels but temps seem to be approximately the same as non-oc'ed. Kinda wondering if i should plonk down another 50 bucks for better cooling...
Same idle temp as you, mid 50's. Load it around 80c, close to mid 80's. Thats with two XT's, but Overdive only reads one cards temp. Im pretty sure its reading the bottom (main) cards temp. The card above is probably a little warmer.

hmmm... i guess i'm slightly running on the higher end of the temp (btw, running the bloated CCC - haven't tried the ATI tools or tray yet).
my case is the thermaltake tsunami .. 2x 120mm fans front/back 1x 90mm fan on side. all cables are SATA so there isn't much blockage in terms of airflow.. temp on MB is 37C according to PC Probe.. Wonder if getting an accelero would be a smart thing to do with the current temp readings.
My 1900XTX runs in the 80's on full load. I definately have poor ventilation in my case though. A soon as i have a new motherboard im moving from my SSF back into a full ATX case.
my idle temperature is 73 C, and while gaming, goes up to 105 C, please help, what could be wrong.
dell 9150 dimension dessktop
ati radeo x1900xt ( bought 2 weeks ago at stock, NO OC, runs at 621 mhx)
dual core 2.8 ghz
1 gb ram-667 mhz
2 dvd burners
160gb hard drive 7100rpm
del 375 watts dual rail psu ( which i have read in forums is under rated and can easily beat a 500 watt generic psu)
I would say its about normal. Thats what mine was then i stuck the Accelero x2 on and now mine goes about 64,65 on load and about 44 ish on idle. But its quiet!!!

A hot running cpu and video card in a poorly ventilated case = HIGH HIGH TEMPS
You need to get better ventilation. Replace current fans w/ better ones. Possibly add a slot cooler. Keep your case open.
Maybe your cooler is not making good contact with the gpu core. If you're feeling up to it, you can either take off the stock cooler, and reseat it with a thin layer of AS5, or you can buy an aftermarket cooler. If not, then just RMA the card, because 105C is way too hot for the video card.
