if your op said "ten minutes before I had to be out the door" you'd have gotten a lot more respect

Seems as though you just need more sleep. If you are sleeping through your alarm (and it's reasonably loud enough), you're obviously still in a very deep sleep. More sleep should do it.

Sounds like you may have had the non intrusive feature engaged where the alarm clock raises a flag instead of ringing a bell. If you're sleeping and don't see the flag you will miss your appointments.

Ever think of turning up the volume?
And use the buzzer, not the radio.

Get a second alarm clock, or a louder one, or use your stereo/PC as an alarm clock with a loud/obnoxious song... or the opening of Pink Floyd's "Time"

AHH! Why don't I hear my alarm clock go off?!
Get an electric drill and some 1/4" vinyl tubing. Cut the tubing about 20" long and put one end in the chuck and tighten it down good.
Pull the trigger all the way and engage the lock. Plug the drill into a timer with the time set to turn on that you like to be whipped er waken. Put the drill under your covers with the tubing between your legs.
This will wake you up guaranteed.

AHH! Why don't I hear my alarm clock go off?!
Two alarm clocks, one withing reach & not that loud... one where you have to get out of bed to turn it off & VERY loud.
(also stop touching yourself at night!)
