Default Will a queen sized mattress + box spring fit in a small truck?

For instance a Chevy S-10? I need to move it about a mile..if not, what's the cheapest alternative in doing so?

I can borrow an S-10, unless it may be possible to fit it in the hatch area of an Integra with the seats down..

nope, but tie it down with a couple of ratchets ties or a good ropen and you should be fine... I don't think it woudl be worth it for anyone to move jsut a bed. If you really want, maybe one of those uhaul 20 a day deals.

My vote is to tie it down though.

Hmm, anyone know how heavy a box spring is? Mapquest says it's half a mile, I wonder if two people can carry it over..

When I worked in a furniture store my boss would deliver anything and everything in the back of his Ranger. It's not that hard to tie stuff down.

box springs are really light. there isn't much in them. and a queen sized box spring should be in two pieces, iirc.

Yep. I think its two peices, unless maybe you don't have a real boxspring and you just have one of those wooden foundation things.

Not sure about big the S10 is, but on my friend's early 90's nissan truck (smaller, probably compact) a full sized bed fits perfectly.

I moved everything that we owned in a Dodge Dakota when my wife and I moved from an apartment to our house. We have a queen bed (mattress and box spring). It rested on the bed rail, but I tied it down.

perhaps you're thinking of FULL size beds.
