Default Cost Per GB calculator in RTPE

By Popular Request, we now list the cost per GB on hard drives and memory in the RTPE. You can now compare hard drives and memory by cost per GB, which should make things a bit easier when browsing.

Some exampes:
SATA II Hard Drives: http://labs.anandtech.com/search.php?q=sata+II
DDR500 Memory: http://labs.anandtech.com/search.php?q=ddr500
Mushkin Redline: http://labs.anandtech.com/search.php?q=mushkin+redline
Raptors: http://labs.anandtech.com/search.php?q=raptor

Enjoy!

very nice addition! if i may make a suggestion, maybe add a feature that lets you sort results by ascending / descending cost per unit ?

When you actually go to list an individual hard drive at the bottom there is an ascending cost/GB list which will show you where that specific drive falls compared to others of the same size in the RTPE.

Being able to sort the overall list by cost/GB would be nice too.

nice feature, but as others said, it would be cool to be able to sort by price.

The sort by price function kinda works now - I will make it work for cost per gb too by the end of the night.

OK, now you should be able to hit the "Sort by price per gb" button on the top right and it will search for you:

http://labs.anandtech.com/search.php...0&pricepgb=yes
http://labs.anandtech.com/search.php...2&pricepgb=yes
http://labs.anandtech.com/search.php...e&pricepgb=yes

Don't have too much fun!

haha at my company to make a change like that is unheard of, it would need to go through 4 weeks of code review and testing, then 3 managers would need to sign off on the change.
