Default Painting a Basketball Backboard

What type of paint should I use? What the heck is "composite" anyway? Is it like graphite, plastic?

"composite" is a vague term. It could mean fiberglass, carbon fiber, plywood, a number of things. I'm guessing carbon fiber, though.

Was it expensive? If it's not painted now is it black? Cabon fiber is black and expensive. Else it's probably fiberglass. I've done a lot of composite work, typically fiberglass cloth layed up with epoxy.

Either way I'd use a lacquer-based primer and paint maybe?
