Default Lexmark x1150 All-in-1 or P707 photo printer for $29 at Rite Aid ("Reg. $79")

As much as I hate Lexmark -- especially with one of their latest printer drivers having a "phone-home" spy

I'll never buy a Lexmark, and I strongly recommend against them.... but if you're not going to listen to me and want to buy one anyway, you may as well save some money.
At RiteAid today I noticed 2 lexmark printers on sale that are "regularly priced at $79" for $29.

The model numbers were X1150 (a nice looking all-in-one printer/scanner/copier) and a P707 photo printer (or maybe P7007... can't remember exactly)

Remember... Lexmark ink is about as expensive as it gets.

Why are you so against Lexmarks?

Extremely expensive inks/toners, cheap construction, mediocre prints -- and the latest, "spyware" printer driver.
Not much more $$ gets you a quality Canon -- and affordable inks.

Any manufacturers listening? If you put spyware in any one of your products, I will never do business with you.

how can you tell? it shows up in spyware scannerS?

as much as i like your theory of not doing business with companies loading spyware on drivers, i'm sorry to tell you that you're one of the few savvy one to know that spyware is attached to the drivers, many other unsuspecting normal users wont notice it and wont give a crap as long as they can print

what info do they collect anyway? like how often their customers switch ink cartridges so they can jack up the price even more???
