Default OK to leave propane tank outside in winter?

I have a gas grill; it uses the normal, bigass propane tank. Winter is coming; is it OK to leave it outside? I grill year round (but this is my first winter in many years) and would like to leave it all set up, but I'm afraid it will freeze/explode.

Thanks.

I've left my grill outside under the cover that came with it for years and never had a problem.

Those homes that heat with propane have a bigger version sitting out in the open all year uncovered without a problem too.

this is your first winter?

Just how did you manage that? Move across the equator twice a year?

heh, no problem leaving it out side. That's where they are stored anyway.

Have an outdoor tank for our propane stove. The coldest it has been since I lived here was 83 degrees below zero or so, and the only thing that happened was it quit working until we wrapped an electric blanket around the tank to heat it up a bit.

Pffft, that's shorts and t-shirt weather. Of course, I still run out to get the paper barefoot now and then at thirty below because I can't be arsed to put my shoes on.
