Default Anyone remember Z-Rock?

Absolute best syndicated national radio network. Back in the early 90's was when it was the best. Crankin Craig, Mad Max Hammer, and all the over cool dj's. Nightly Nuke, Joe Bob Brigg's movie reviews, The Mighty Met.... some awesome programming.

Really went downhill when Lee Abrams came in as program director and changed their focus to grunge. The last couple of years were pretty pathetic, also the quality of the dj's really went down. Loud Debbie Doud, yuck...

Still those early days were classic stuff. Anyone that listened to it knows what I mean.

I remember Sharkman, that guy was cool. He left the Z-Rock network to go to the local Z-Rock station in Austin. Have no idea what he's up to now.

I worked for the Z-Rock affiliate in Chico, CA (who actually now own the rights to the Z-rock name and logo an' all).

Loud Debbie Dowd was one UGLY yatch, let me tell you.

Most of those guys were pretty big tools. The music was aite though.

1010 AM in Portland in the late '80s. Used to be the only station that you could hear Metallica on.

Ahh yes, good station. That is where I first heard "Larry the Cable Guy".

Default ZRock am 1010

Hey I miss that great station! Anyone know what happened to it? Are there any winners of the ZROCK air guitar contest contest here?

I still remember the commercial, "Slap your favorite ZROCK sticker on your forehead and whip out your best air guitar video and send it to us!"
