Default Can I seel my old rotors for scrap metal?

I'm guessing not much. Where would I look to find a place that would buy them?

Or should I just toss them out with the trash?

BTW - is there a proper way to dispose of brake fluid? EDIT: Google says just recycle it like used oil.

lol, pretty much.

Iron and steel are pretty much the cheapest metals around. You wouldn't really even get much if they were aluminum.

There's been a rash of thefts in Omaha of cast iron storm sewer grates. They weigh 350 pounds. The newspaper asked a local scrap yard how much that's worth, and they said about seven bucks.

Yeah, you're better off stealing the wiring from new developments.

The real question is, is it worth your time to sell them? I doubt it. I recomend hurling them at kids who wander onto your lawn instead.

2 cents/lb sounds right. One place I was quoted was $55/ton for steel car bodies.

Alot of the fire hydrants near me used to have brass caps, people would regularly take them off and turn them in because they could get $5 for it.
