Default My car (MUSTANG) is losing power and the gas efficiency is dropping badly. What to do?

It's a 2000. It should still be under warranty. Take it to the dealer and tell them to fix it.

AutoZone does OBD/OBD2 scans for free now also.
As I have said in the past, never let a 18 year old who has trouble operating a calculator diagnose your vehicle, let alone touch it.

Eh, my OBD2 scanner only works on Fords and GM's, when my buddy's mom's car (Crapsler) came up with an SES light I went down with him to AZ, it plugged in and pumped out a Speed Sensor failure code in plain english within 2 minutes. Easy as pie, just like all OBD scans are now adays, especially OBD2.

Get your car a tune up.
My roommate told me the same thing, but what exactly does tune up do? And how much does it cost?
You may need some new spark plugs....or have the throttle body cleaned out. Maybe even check on the Oxygen sensors...
How many miles are on this car???
