Bought a pair of Brooks Green Silence last night and wore them out for about 9 miles this morning, my knee never bothered me, not for a second. I fricking love these shoes, I wish I'd found them before Brooks discontinued them.

8.5 miles of paved trails today. Hot and humid, must be summer already.

+5 in the heat and humidity. Waited til 8:15pm to run was still 87 at my house with 60% humidity. Finished my run and it was still 85 out. Yuckkkk. On the flip side my knee hurt only slightly during on mile 2 but doesn't hurt at all post run.

Got up early in an attempt to beat the heat today in Michigan, no luck, was 82 degrees at 9:30am. Ran 3.3 miles then aborted at that point. Not used to the heat yet at all.

I was surprised to see how warm MI was early this morning. We have a power plant in MI that we monitor/support and the inlet temperature was 72degrees bright and early, and it was causing all kinds of fun issues for them also. So don't feel bad TraumaRN, you are not alone in your suffering.

Once lake erie and st clair heat up and combine that with massive urban island heat effect and the area of SE Michigan I live in is quite slow to cool down in the summer. Makes it a bit of a pain to exercise come summer.

4 miles tonight. Between the heat and the 30mph winds that was all I could manage. In hindsight running on an elevated reservoir tonight wasn't all that great of a choice.

5.6 miles this morning. It was so hazy and humid that my headlamp was blinding me. Pretty neat actually.
