I will stay out of your discussion with EK but I have to correct some data/facts in your post.

Vietnam war was not over until 4/30/1975 when NVN tanks crashed the Presidential Palace. I was at that very same place a few months ago.

The Killing Field was the result of the Cambodian Khmer Rouge regime (with backing from commie China) killing their own people = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_Fields. Commie NVN can be blame on a lot of things but not this one.
