It's one of those things that don't really have a real drawback. Especially if it's the optical version. It can even be the home key if space is an issue.

Solving the cursor issue better than any other touchscreen solution is just gravy.

They are also great to fiddle with when you're bored.

Sorry but the HTC One looks nothing like previous HTC phones.
All the other high-end HTC phones was in some way a reincarnation of the HD2 only uglier until the One X.
The One is one giant leap from from all previous phones.

Looks like AT&T has an exclusive on the 64GB HTC One, while all the other US carriers will only have the 32GB variant?

I don't know anyone that would switch their cellphone provider from Verizon/Sprint/T-Mobile just because they want to get the 64GB version on AT&T, even if they're being sold at the same $199 contract price.
No doubt AT&T ponied some cash to HTC for this exclusive deal, but what's in it for them?
Just what exactly is AT&T planning?

Will AT&T be selling both the 32GB and 64GB variants or all HTC One phones on AT&T will be exclusively 64GB only(similar to what Samsung did with the exclusive 32GB Verizon Galaxy Nexus debacle)?

If there is only the 64GB variant on AT&T, do they plan on selling this for $250-$299? I hope this isn't some sneak attack in increasing the price on all top tier phones to $250.
I also can't imagine them selling it for $199. Even if they do I'm not sure how that will lead to them getting any more subscribers than they would have without paying HTC the cash for this "exclusive" deal because like I mentioned, I don't know anyone that would switch their current carrier to AT&T just for this 64GB exclusive version over the 32GB variants on their own carriers.

Of *course* it is. Did you really think anything else was possible after reading the SGS4 price + the 64gb "exclusivity"?

Not really.
I simply threw that out there for the people that were calling Samsung "greedy" for the $250 AT&T contract pricing or calling it a "Samsung tax" a bone to chew on.

I also purposely worded my statement in case I end up being wrong in the future which is why you see that neutral stance and the word "hope".
