I could still use more input about the best games. Particularly ones I can find for cheap.

ps3 has great exclusives.

Get LBP 2, the controls were better on it. It's fun to do in co-op too.

i must admit its nothing new and did have some Hype.. but it was fun and well designed, I can say it maybe got more press then it deserved, but it sold well and was well reviewed. I myself felt much like you "bah, kids game looks silly" but some time actually playing showed it was fun and interesting. Demons Souls Dark Souls (most played game on my PS3)
Valkyria Chronicles- must have and cheap too (if you like rpg games)

and I liked Dragons Strike- sure its extremely flawed.. but it was fun in some ways. But I liked Bullet Witch too.

God of war 3 & Uncharted series is reason one why igot my PS3, now awaiting The last of us. Iwas never a fan of JRPGS but Ican't get enough of Ni no Kuni it's really that good.

Other PS3 exclusives that you may like:

- Gran turismo 5
- Ridge Racer 7
- KillZone 2 & 3
- Ratchet & clank series ( if you were of crash bandicoot or Rayman you may like it)
- Heavenly Sword
- Heavy rain (personaly Inever was a fan of it)
- Enslaved odyssey to the west ( not a PS3 exclusive but a very good action adventure game)
- Bayonetta (also not a PS3 exclusive)
- Folklore
- Lair
- Haze
- Genji: Days of the Blade

And tons of Fighting games like :

- Tekken 6 & tag tournaments
- Dead or alive 5
- Virtua fighter 5
- Soul calibur 4 & 5
- Marval vs Capcom 3
- Mortal Kombat 9

I never was a fan of stealth Action games and MGS4 with its cinematic long cutscenes & complex story....probably is the main reason why I always forget about it

The third one is clearly the best of the series btw. I did like the first two chapters of MGS4 but the final three are rather meh. And yes, the ending really is 90 minutes long.

I love Metal Gear games but I can definitely understand why people wouldn't like them. The cut scenes are very long compared what most are used to.

PS+ is a good investment for a new person to PS3. Right off the bat you'll get a couple good exclusives. Infamous 2 and Little Big Planet 2. You've paid for the subscription right there, and those are two games you should get that are really good...not mentioning the other games..and an extra 3 months. Out of all the bundles they have the God of War Saga is the probably the best IMO. Gow 1, 2, 3 and the 2 PSP titles. Best Buy had a $20 coupon just before Xmas, so I got it for $19.99.

The best model is not the cheapest one. Honestly I think they are all the same if you aren't strictly looking for a system that can fully play PS2 games.
