Tire size for my '03 Toyota 4-runner
The 70s are slightly larger tires (sidewall height is 70% of 265mm versus 65% of 265mm). Other than that, there's probably not much difference between the two. Decide which tire brand/model tire you want and then go with the size they're offered in.
You might also want to check the date code of the tires you're looking to have installed. The code is 4 digits on the sidewall and is formated as WWYY where WW is the week # and YY is the year. Dateline or a similar show did a report a couple weeks ago about tire shops selling new tires that have been sitting on the shelves for years. According to the report, Europe has or is planning to enact a regulation that puts a 6-year expiration date on new tires.
