No Kindle Fire in Canada AFAIK. Tablet is a non-option as she wants to be able to browse traditionally and have flash support and what not

Looks like you made another choice anyway, but I just want to comment. While I like trinity for laptops, that price for the A10 is VERY expensive. And secondly, I really like that little 11.6 inch Asus as I want something really portable that is NOT a tablet. It probably would not be the best for your case though.
