By the way, it was important to do BOTH the performance settings and Aero theme.

For anyone else not sure how to access the performance settings I'm talking about:

a. Open Start Menu and right-click "Computer" - Click "Properties"
b. Click "Advanced System Settings" - "Advanced" tab - "Settings" under "Performance"
c. Click "Visual Effects" tab - Click "Adjust for best appearance" - "OK"

Change to Aero theme (and make sure it actually changes).

Reboot

Cross Fingers and try Netflix.
