According to hardocp the Powercolor is a good overclocker and can beat reference 7950.
raghu78 says the Sapphire has better cooling, otherwise they are identical. Sapphire has their 2 fan cooling and Powercolor only has 1 fan.
I like the look of the Sapphire but it's much more expensive.

again I am in Canada. Seems like everyoone from this forum is USA and klenkistein told me shipping costs are way too much.
So after shipping It would be more than a brand new card with warranty.

The Powercolor from NCIX at $215 is a no-brainer. You can always upgrade the cooling solution later on if you need to.
You should try mining bitcoins on it by the way. With 1500 stream processors you will make decent money. Just get yourself a bitcoin wallet, then go to bitminter.com. The only problem is that it's hard to cash in the coins as a Canadian. I used to use fastcash4bitcoins.com but I don't think it works any more as a Canuck.

Tell you the truth, I have two reference 7870's I put together for friends and they overclock jsut fine. The cooler has an impact if you're squeezing out every last Mhz but nothing major imo. Now as far as noise...oy vay do they get loud when ramped up. Even at idle they are much more noticeable than my DirectCu (granted, I have a really, REALLY silent system).

OP you'd better jump on that $215 7870LE from NCIX as they tend to sell out fast when they have a sale on.

well forget about the title someone got the last Gigabyte in stock so no more $230 after tax shipping. There is one from another site it would be around $250.
The Powercolor Tahiti would be $270 after tax shipping. $250 if rebate goes through.
Gigabyte 7950 would be $330 after tax shipping. So $60 difference or $80 difference if rebate goes through.
What is best plan here?

What about this:
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...e&promoid=1382
It's a shame you can't get the 7870LE for $215; let me look around a bit.
*edit* like you said the LE card is now $240AR.
The card I linked to is nice in that it has better cooling. It's really your call. I would want the LE card personally and I would be willing to wait for a better deal.
You need to jump on hot deals immediately BTW. If you see the LE card for $215 again don't hesitate and just buy it.

Hey OP look what I found:
http://ncix.ca/products/?sku=78372&v...r&promoid=1292
It's on back order but NCIX usually gets new stock pretty fast.
Buy buy buy!

That's a nice deal in Canada for a 7800 LE. HD8000 series is postponed to Q4 2013 at the earliest.
Canada Computers just had an HD7950 for $240 CDN.

So I have to get everything online.

I ordered a Gigabyte HD 7950 for 289CAD including free games Bioshock Infinite and Crysis 3 which IMO is an awesome deal...hard to pass! 320CAD with tax and shipping.
It is still on at NCIX is you're interested!

Yep, at $205 that card is a no brainer. If I still had my desktop rig I would be in for 4 of them for crossfire bitcoin mining.
