I still remember a cut scene from mass effect (the one where the big ant is stuck in a container that can be blown) and see the guys run in from various directions, since i Kept dying in that room.
I'm still on my first playthrough and most cutscenes are definitely unskippable. Worse still, I can't even pause the game in the middle of the cutscenes (bye-bye short activities like toilet breaks, quick exercises, chit chats with someone outside my room, etc). Many of these are also just not downright necessary (Sheppard crash-landing, shooting at enemies and, well, still alive and ready to start the mission). Repeated so may times, I now watch them with my eyes rolled up.

Not necessarily my biggest gripe with games, but one of my biggest pet peeves lately is games that don't let you choose between toggling or holding crouch/sprint. I hate being forced to let go of W to stop sprinting, at least let me press shift again to stop. I don't remember what game it was, but there was one I was playing a while back that would toggle sprint if you tapped shift, but if you held it, it would stop when you let go. I don't remember having seen that since then, but it worked well.
