Oubadah Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Posts: 122	Control Panel Based Desktop Icons Disappear This is a recurring problem I've started having recently in Windows 7. I make shortcuts to Control Panel items such as the Windows Sound CP, and they eventually disappear for no apparent reason. It's happened even after I've reformatted the PC. Anyone know what causes this?
