My HTC Desire started doing that a few times a day at which point I replaced it. I think it was due to temperature because if I took it immediately from my jeans pocket and fired up some demanding app (network usage+CPU intensive) it would reboot almost immediately.
My Optimus 2X has done that on a few occasions, when I was messing around with modded ROMs etc. Now I just use the stock LG ICS ROM (rooted) and it's very stable.

As of right now my Note 2 lists it's up time as 558 hours 57 minutes. So, that means almost a month without a reboot.

I've had the Galaxy S2 (Sprint) for a little over a month. Over the weekend about every 3 hrs it would reboot on its own. I started removing Apps, then I reset it to its original state. Still the reboot. Did a Google search and saw many had same problem that went away by either removing the SD card or reformatting it. Reformatted it and no more reboots.........

Haven't had a reboot on my nexus 4 yet, I've had it for about 3 weeks.

On stock software - never.
With custom ROMs, every single ROM I've tried has had random reboots. Well, with CM10 that is, since they still have yet to release an official native jellybean for the Note.

Old Blackberry, about once per month or so.
iPhone 4S never once in over 1 year
iPhone 5 not once in the two weeks I've had it.

Ugh. It hasn't happened before, but my Verizon GNex has been rebooting itself repeatedly today. Don't know if it's the cold-hot-cold transitions or what... Haven't flashed anything in ages.

HTC Sensation. Used to be all stable, then out of blue it rebooted on average 20 times per day. Now it is about 1 reboot per day. I dislike my phone, but it works.

My Nexus4 has not rebooted randomly yet. It did reboot once for an update, 25 days ago. I got it a couple of days prior to that.

My two LGs have rarely if ever rebooted on their own. My HTC for work used to do it all the time, piece of crap. I have an iPhone for work now, don't really care for it, but dang those things are pretty solid.

iPhone 5, never. GS3 (bone stock), every couple days.

Update. Switched ROM's on my VZ GNex, and it's been wonderful. No random reboots yet. Nexus 7 hasn't done it at all. My old iPhone 4 did every few/several weeks.

Worst cell phone I've ever had (and I started with something like a black-and-white Audiovox in 2002) was a HTC Windows phone I had several years ago, the HTC Touch Pro. Buggy as all fucking hell, restarted randomly. The POS ended up eating a few rounds of 7.62x39 at the range.
Next smartphone was a Droid 2 which I don't recall rebooting by itself.
Current one is a Samsung Galaxy Proclaim (Illusion) and it's been great, no reboots.
