No, they decided to disable the new MM system because the wait times for single players was unacceptably long, even after they made an on-the-fly tweak to it.
They're studying the information collected and will proceed from there.
To me, it sounds like they've done the right thing here. Making the lone wolves wait an inordinate amount of time to join a match is no good. Hopefully they can push out an updated, more viable version next Tuesday (but most likely the Tuesday after).

cool guess ill wait longer, been waiting for the fully funcional MM before giving this another shot. I was hopeful when i read the patch notes because it said phase 3 MM implemented so i thought it would be in this patch.
Oh and do they have knockdowns back yet? thats another huge issue ive been waiting for i cant stand those frekkin leghumping glitch through you lights that got out of control after knockdowns were removed.

Looks like they've taken a large leap forward by getting the ELO MM to a stage where it was implemented but had the setback of it not working as intended. From what I have heard, matches seemed to feel more balanced in terms of the teams feeling like they were more equally matched against each other. But it appears that something in their complex mathematics of whom gets matched against whom was slightly flawed when it came to the single player without a group.
Definitely something to take heart from. Sounds like the only negative was the long matching times or failures to match. Critical issue I know but at the end of the day, a matchmaker is supposed to balance teams as best as it is able and it seemed to have that nailed down well. Not many games get that part right.
Knockdowns? I don't see them being back for a while. I miss them, I really do but I understand why they were removed. Since the dawn of 2013, PGI seem to have made some huge leaps in improving the engine with regards to performance on hardware and net code but I am not sure whether they are sufficiently improved to allow for knockdowns to return. Also on top of that, the ability to knock stuff down would need to be fine tuned and balanced. Remember 8-man teams of Dragons just chain-knockdowning everyone? Want it but I'm happy to wait for it.
I've got a bunch of MC still in MWO as well as 8.5mil C-Bills. Tempted to get myself a Pretty baby (I love the Awesome, especially my 380XL AWS-9M. Will likely wait for a sale, like the YLW sale, damn fine mech) but also want some Trenchbuckets... though I still have to buy 2 more Cicada's to Elite them as well as 2 Stalkers and 2 Commandos to Elite them... Might just wait for the Clans before spending any more loot stored up.

The Trebuchet has been a mixed bag so far, but ive never been very decent with mediums. Played around with the 3C, and its a fun little guy, but the Centurion D can do the same job.

I hope it was an error in coding that created the lack of finding matches. But there may be another easily explained reason that PGI may be hiding. There just aren't that many people playing MWO, so their ELO just did not have enough people to match people up in their respective rating brackets.

im pretty sure they have a decent base. in my random pug games its pretty rare to see repeat names on the opposing team during prime time.

This is possible, most of my RL friends who played have stopped till CW is in, and i havent played since xmas and im sure im not alone in taking a break you see alot of state of the game requests in the MWO forums from people who havent played in a while.

I see repeat ones a few times now and then when gaming, but then I am not in the US so my prime time is not the same. Playing with lag sucks, but I have not been back for nearly 3 months I think. I did put my toes into the water late november / early december, but the recent patch mad the lag extra bad. could not even stop walking / turn in a reasonable distance, let alone aim due to things jumping around.
That particualar time it was nearly bad enough to record the game and post it on the forums, but then I read it was expecting a quick patch to address it. Either it took a while to be released or I lost interest that week as being a teleporting target is no fun.

I lasted not so many games in it. I thought I was helping out my team each time. I knew I only had starter mechs, but I was hitting the enemies with whatever weapons I had and dodging fire, etc. Game ends I did jack shit. Too frustrating.

LRMs and SRMs were doing more splash damage than they expected so they nerfed their damage all to hell. SRMs do 1.5 damage per missile now. Since PPC velocity was increased everyone has switched to using those. After adding the Highlander, now everyone takes one of those with 2x PPC, Gauss, and jump jets and hides behind terrain only activating their jump jets long enough to peak up, fire all weapons, then float back down. They're called Pop-Tarts, they are fags, and they are everywhere.

How far into implementation has Community Warfare gone? I assume they'll be doing it piece by piece.

Haha, welcome to Mechwarrior 4, 13 years ago...
I was so excited about MWO, too bad they picked this art direction. I can't stand it and have not played in months.

end of summer. lots of work being done.
it swings from great games, to lame games. all in all its fun. but you really need to play with a group to make it fantastic.
ive taken to recording some matches. need to figure out my encoding issues. cant get my mic track included in the encodes with handbrake.

I havn't played since they totally f'ed it up in the first place by not understanding how anything was balanced in the underlying game mechanics of the universe.

Bingo. When they said and copied the game mechanics of the tabletop then started changing stuff without understanding the other consequences that it has since it was all balanced before hand made me become leery. But after some of the dev comments and how oblivious they were to some stuff despite very good feedback in their forums at the time is when I decided to jump ship and had my legendary founders refunded.
