I might have to try out one of these. The 2TB version goes for $110, so $122-ish for 3TB is a good deal for green drives with 1TB platters which don't park heads all the time.

It should stack based on the folks at SlickDeals.net. The bonus 5% cash back is on all internet purchases regardless if you go through ShopDiscover or not. You must sign up for the quarterly 5% bonus on the Discover site.

I have received about $22 from Newegg purchases last month so I know it works (since Newegg isn't on ShopDiscover) as far as the 5% bonus. SlickDeals folks said it stacks with ShopDiscover but I have not verified this yet.

Yes it stacks (I called Discover weeks ago about another deal to make sure; I also called them on another matter and the CSR added unprompted that I could stack... so Discover is apparently being very aggressive this holiday season. I guess they want to create a lot of buzz so non-members will get envious and sign up for Discovercards of their own or something), but the main problem is that if you use a coupon code your cashback may be disqualified altogether. Read the fine print: if you use any codes not on ShopDiscover's list of approved codes, you may lose cashback. The coupon code is worth more than the extra 5% cashback though.

FYI Costco is rumored to have 3TB Seagate external drive for $100 on BF. If you don't mind getting Seagate and deal with BF.

Not really wanting to deal with externals right now nor going out on BF. On a side note, is it me or has Seagate, which used to be my favorite drive vendor, had issues with quality lately? Seems that their drives are rated pretty bad on most sites. Have I missed something with them?

they got bought out by maxtor and it's been downhill ever since. they're definitely no longer the go-to brand for hard drives.

The drive is showing as back in stock for me, with another $20 MIR, but I am not seeing a form field for a coupon code. Neither in the shopping cart or on the checkout page. Perhaps thy only put that field on the page when a product has a valid one available? Seems too intelligent.

You are correct. TD/CompUSA/CircuitCity (all the same) remove the coupon code entry boxes for products that don't have a valid coupon at the time of checkout.
