my kid just got an award...
the President's Award for Educational Excellence. the mangos don't fall far from the tree it seems. i will celebrate by buying her some new rims for my car.

I think there is also one of those for physical fitness. If they didn't get that as well they need to work harder.

Being the brilliant individual I am, I too once received the president's award of academic excellence. Unfortunately George Bush cheapened it by signing it with a stamp rather than his signature.

I got one back when clinton was in. I can't remember if they give it multiple times or not, but I remember I got it in 6th grade.

my daughter was pissed she didn't get it. when they did the test she had a broken foot and couldn't run.
she did get the President's Award for Educational Excellence though. She did slip in the State wide testing. Last year she was in the 95% and slipped to 89%. she was upset on that too heh.
