I don't think that mine are as loose as you're describing. If I fidget with them, I definitely feel a bit of play, which is probably the reason why. I might just be wussing out and not putting enough pressure on them to put them back in place. I have a tendency to do that to avoid accidentally breaking things.

Yeah, it's in the tabs, but it doesn't really seem to fit snugly at all. It's almost like the tray should be about 1/8" wider to fit properly.

That would require a database to identify which CD you've inserted. I think that's what Gracenote essentially does with MFT (it also provides cover art). I'm not sure if Sync has that too, but it might be a feature that you need to enable.

The Gracenote database is how CD's are recognized. It probably needs an update. Gracenote does have to be enabled, apparently.

Most CDs these days come with the album and track information embedded in the cd itself. I think it's called CD TEXT or something like that. If you burn a mix album from, say, iTunes, there is an option to include the text info in the burn. Any CD I burn always includes track info now. I don't have any knowledge of how MFT works but I would imagine it relies mostly on info on the CD before it looks to Gracenote.

Default Problem with BT quality

Have a 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid (Mytouch) and a iPhone 4S, when placing calls the recieving party hears the fan running from the AC, like the mic is in vent. It is like standing next to a large waterfall. I hear the other person just fine but they have a hard time hearing me over the whooshing sound.

Does anyone on the forum have this issue? Ihave no issue in my F150 with the same MyTouch system in it.

So, I've been toying more with the very fun voice commands for playing a specific song, and I can't figure out if I'm doing something wrong (if there's a better command) or if Sync is just failing (surprise!). I'm mostly having an issue with this one song... Invincible by Two Steps from Hell off their album Invincible. If I say "Play Invincible", it will ask whether I want the album or the song. If I say "song", it will play Invincible... by Muse -- there is no multiple results screen like usual. If I say "Play Invincible by Two Steps from Hell", it will ask whether I want the album or the song, and if I say "the song", it will say that it's going to play the song, and the current song blanks out like it's going to change, but nothing happens. It's not like it's incapable of playing the song, because I got to it by just playing the album.

I started hearing the same noise from the driver's side, and it stopped when I put pressure on that plastic piece on both the left and right side of it.

Also, you know that little holder tray in the center console? Does that thing ever stay in place? Whenever I open my center console, my tray has always fallen in. I would just take it out, but I'm actually using it to hold coins and other small items.
The picture has been deleted.. was it of the door handle on the inside? Because I've had an awful rattling from the passenger side. I can wiggle the piece of plastic behind the handle around but I can't get it to snap into anything.

I don't have an iphone but I haven't had any issues with my BT. Have you tried repairing it? Have you tried pairing another phone?

Hmm. I checked all four of the handles and the plastic behind all four are loose. Odd that I only hear the rattling from the front passenger side...

Oh and I saw a brief discussion about MPG. I'm at 3200 miles on my 2.0 Ecoboost FWD. I've been getting right around 22MPG so far. My drive is mostly city though. Oh and I use 93 octane if anyone is wondering.

Does it require such a high octane?

Hmm from a brief search it appears that its a 3 hp drop to run it on 87 octane.

I've only done two tanks at 87 - the very first one, and one a few weeks ago just to see. The one I did a few weeks ago I got the same 22MPG.
It could just be my imagination but it does feel a tad peppier with 93, so I'll stick with it, but yeah 87 is perfectly acceptable for the car.

My biggest problem when it comes to gas mileage is the fact that I don't think any of my data points are worthwhile. To give you an idea, I think only two of my fill-ups ever put the fuel gauge at or above the full line. I filled it up the other day, and I was able to fill it up all the way. It actually stopped the first time at 4 gallons, and my car said that I had used about 9 by that point (and I was near a quarter remaining of a 16 gallon tank ). So, I pushed the nozzle in a bit further and let it go again. I actually ended up putting more fuel in than my car said that I used, which leads me to believe that my last fill-up wasn't adequate.

I also think that I've finally figured out why my car keeps indexing the USB drive. I originally thought it had something to do with putting it into reverse too soon after starting the car, but I don't think that's the problem. From what I can see, if I turn the car on too quickly after opening the door, it will index the USB drive. Now, that sounds kind of crazy, but you have to keep in mind that the electronics sort of "come alive" when you open the door (all of the screens turn white). One thing I have noticed is that even though the electronics aren't really showing anything, the USB drive's activity light does blink during this period. It's my guess that the car is doing some sort of check on the drive during this period, and if I interrupt it, it probably assumes the drive is new for whatever reason.

That's a really hard thing for me though because my '07 Altima also had push-button start, and I was really used to just getting into the car and starting it in one fluid motion. So, now I try to force myself to get into the car, close the door, put my seat belt on, get all comfy, and then start the car.

The photo was of a door latch, which really isn't that important to the discussion. I was just confused by the original terminology for awhile.

Anyway, yeah... I think it is that little plastic piece that you're talking about that's causing the rattling. I also have the same situation as you where I can wiggle it a bit, but it will never stay in place. I'm wondering if it gets somewhat worse at higher speeds because I also have speed-sensitive volume turned on. So, my radio will automatically turn my music up louder, and guess where the speaker is... right beside that plastic piece!
