Translation... 1st Amendment = Carte Blanche to act like an insufferable prick, spreading hate and malcontent without consequences?

I guess I should 'assert my constitutional right' to tell my boss what a flaming sack of dog vomit he is and then sue under the grounds of having my rights violated should I get fired?

Me too.

I'm too lazy to find and read the case but I wouldn't be surprised if it was based on an earlier case that was similar, possibly a SCOTUS case.

Don't be so stupid.

The 1st Amendment does protect your right to tell your boss that he's a flaming sack of dog vomit, but he also has the right to fire you for saying so.

In case you weren't aware, the First Amendment protects your right to express yourself, but it does not protect you from all consequences of such expression.

If you had any understanding of the issue you'd already know that and wouldn't make a post so full of fail.

The 1st Amendment says you can't be arrested for being a verbal insufferable prick.

And lets be honest if you are planning to commit a crime the last thing you are going to do is give the police the finger.
