The league I've been in for close to 10 years plays week 17, but it's also a roto style and not head to head.

I'd like to give a shout out to DeAngelo Williams for being a late season MVP and helping move me into a money spot. His last couple weeks have been fantastic for filling in on injuries and other lack of depth.

I finished third in the ATOT league and also 3rd in the roto style one mentioned above. Okay years...but I was hoping for better.

What does that mean, is it based on every team playing every other team each week? So in a 10-team league, if you have the best score, you are 9-0 that week, or if you have the 4th best score, you're 6-3?

I heard of one interesting custom scoring system that combines head to head with every-team scoring - you do have a head to head matchup that you get, say, 5 points for winning, as well as 1 point for each team you're not matched up against that you beat. So if you have the second best score and lose to the guy with the best score, you still get 8 points (but he gets 14).

I'd think that straight up points wouldn't be much fun. Things would get decided too early.

It just means that there are no weekly "wins". The points your team adds up every week just keep adding to a big bucket of points and the highest point total wins overall.

I love the format so much more than H2H. It truely rewards good team management and depth. No weeks where you lose by a fraction of a point. Just a season long management trying to keep a consistent point scoring from all of your players.

I like Roto for Baseball, but for Footbal I far prefer H2H. With Baseball roto makes sense since the season is so long, but H2H Football is just way more fun to me and makes more sense with the structure of the league itself. Of course the Thursday games made it slightly more annoying this year, but as long as they don't go further with the weekday games, I am happy with H2H.

I have to agree that playing in week 17 sucks and a good team could have really been screwed if many of their players came from the Ravens, Falcons or Bengals. I really almost screwed myself over by starting Julio Jones over Lance Moore but everything came into place with monster games from Drew Brees and Adrian Peterson. Drew Brees really helped me out in the playoffs with 3 straight monster performances (32 pts, 32 pts, 33 pts).

I almost jumped out of a window for making the decision to play Danario Alexander over Greg Jennings but I lucked out with that TD reception late in the Chargers/Raiders game. If not for that I would have lost.

My waiver wire pickups of the year had to be Knowshon Moreno, Danario Alexander and Lance Moore. Lance Moore had great games everytime I started him, and Knowshown Moreno filled in as a good #2 RB for my final 2 games.

We are going to push to making the league change to a week 16 championship next year.

The 3rd place guy in our league has Alfred Morris and barely lost in the semifinal round. Had I played against him in the finals I would have lost.

Won my league last night. Final matchup score was 221.97-136.76 in a yahoo head to head league.

My starting lineup on the last day was

QB: Brees
WR: Eric Decker
WR: Julio Jones
WR: James Jones
RB: Chris Johnson
RB: Darren Sproles
Flex: Deangelo Williams
Flex: CJ Spiller
K: Gotskowski

Williams really was the icing on the cake for the playoffs, but I was the favorite going in without him. I'd say my pick up of the year was Randall Cobb in the first week (wasn't drafted) in a league that counts return yards and tds. I benched him final day before knowing whether or not he was out, and was rewarded with a James Jones TD.

Final record was 13-4 and my team scored 2765.02 points in the regular season total. Granted with the league setup it was a high scoring league.

That's a pretty big beatdown, who did your opponent start?

His team really under performed this week.

QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Vincent Jackson
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Victor Cruz
RB: Knowshon Moreno
RB: BenJarvus Green-Ellis
Flex: Aaron Hernandez
Flex: Reggie Bush
K: Shayne Graham

The person he played in the semi's had a better team, but Calvin Johnson was a beast last week and pretty much got him the win.
