don't know about that. there are some phones that are not cracked still like the Motorola Milestone. That phone had the largest effort looking into the whole encrypted bootloader. It was how they even got the 2nd-init exploit working that everyone from Droid 2 to Droid X users were using. It still doesn't solve the issue of custom kernels.

I think if cracked, the Optimus G would be like the SGS1 phones. They continue to get support with CM10 today and stuff. But that's a big if right? Either I wait for something that may never happen or I dive in and buy a Nexus 4 and regret later if they later crack it.

The only thing that worries me is the lack of a micro SD slot, but I am still getting it. I'll sell my S3 and get the N4 with some cash to spare.
