It should drop soon. Niche games like JRPGs drop pretty quickly. I've seen it on Amazon and GameStop online for 49 even.

But shame on you for not supporting the devs. This isn't a CoD, they put a lot of time and care into this, including Namco in the localization. I understand they were VERY picky with voice actors and didn't want to rush it. Rare these days.

Studio Ghibli and Tokyo Philharmonic getting involved in something like this for a game that has only sold 500k copies... at least you KNOW where the money went in the development here.

Its ultimately it a sale that they would have never otherwise had. No shame felt at all.

I have a lot of games in backlog that I don't touch, and I may not even get to touch this. The only COD I played was the first, and I loved it; never played another one after that though :-)

Correction just crossed the 600k mark. w00t.

It's in my interests and in the interests of anyone who is tired of shooter and sports rehashes to see this game succeed. It's a pretty big JRPG title getting lots of attention and scrutiny from other devs. Some say it could revitalize and reintroduce the dying JRPG genre that's been MIA this ENTIRE generation.

So a new unknown IP, non mainstream, and a niche genre, is 600k considered a success?

You see and hear some of the things in this game and you KNOW it cost a shit ton to produce.

Sales have dropped massively, time for a discount.

I'll try this in 10-15 years when the PS3 is emulated. Too little too late to go all in now ;p

I purchased my PS3 used and it came with this game, the hard back guide, and a code for a familiar. Up until I saw the ad I had never heard of Ni No Kuni. It took me about a month before I heard enough good things to play it. Over all I'm very impressed with(other than my other AI characters being total idiots and wasting their MP)

Game is on sale at target/amazon for $39.99.

Bought mine a few days ago. Played about 1.5 hours and it's pretty good. Liking it so far.

I think I am going to get this once I widdle down my backlog. I have heard enough positive things to give it a shot even when the demo wasnt impressive to me. I have a few games yet to be completed. I recently picked up xenoblade chronicles for the Wii and need to play that (gonna use my wiiu for it). Still working through monster hunter 3 quests too. Just a lot to complete before I can jump into another RPG. Hopefully can get to it before soul sacrifice comes out around the end of the month but I dunno cause Pandoras tower is also slated for release soon. Ugh...

Apparently Level 5 was pleased with the success of Ni no Kuni.

Just say no to MMORPG...

I want single player story games, not online socializing epeen comparing grind fests. Been there done that when WoW was in its prime.

I don't know the culture at Level 5, but I hope they're willing to recognize the shortcomings of Ni no Kuni and try and make something better. While the game may be better than a lot of others these days, it still has those nagging issues that I've mentioned earlier.

I'm only about 6 hours into the game and I'm really enjoying it so far. It definitely is a tad easy, but the graphics and story are superb. The battle system feels cluttered and clunky. Seems like there are too many things to control from switching out characters to rotating through the menu system. A lot of times in the heat of the battle, I feel like it's too easy to panic and press the wrong things. The game is super easy though so not like I die any...still though, clunky battle system. Other than that, it's an amazing game. Oh yeah, music is pretty awesome too.

tomb raider is alot of fun, but its pretty short. You could red box it and win it in 1 or 2 days. ni no kuni will take much more time.

You missed out. Ni No Kuni was on sale at Target and Amazon for $39.99 for a week or two. Also, Gamestop might still have it for $37.
