anyone know where to find a cheap, decent copper radiator

anyone know where to find a cheap yet decent copper radiator so i can switch out the aluminum radiator in the $369 Thermtaltake Level 10 GT LCS case i ordered in the pc store?


figured for the price i payed for my CM 932 and Corsair trasH100 adding <$100 to get a real nice case and a decent watercooling system would be an investment instead of throwing out a whopping 130$(which is on sale for 80$) for the H100 i bought that would only cool my CPU.


i know the system in the LCS has to move more liters/h ive been trying to find the h100 L/hr specs online and cant seem to find anything for obvious reasons, they dont want us to know!!!!

Looks like that box came with a 240mm? I am a fan of XSPC rads ... never had a problem with them.

Well radiators aside, I'm glad you're now realizing Corsair is crap...lol.

Back to radiators, what retailers will you use?... are you looking for maximum cooling, or quiet?

I'd wait and see... the Thermaltake radiator might work well, worth a shot... if not, *then* get a better rad. Also worth doing that to figure out what kind of spaces you have... thinner rad, thicker rad, etc.

Judging by a few quick images looks like it might fit a 280mm... go that route if you can.

I dont want to keep buying additives for my aluminum + copper mixture so i figured investing in a nice copper radiator will help reduce heat as well

Most good radiators will be full copper, or copper/brass.

A lot of radiators don't come with the fittings, so you might have to buy those as well... anywhere from like $3.00 to $12.00 a piece depending on the type (straight, 45°, 90°, fixed or swivel, etc).

Look into what comes with the one you got (another reason to hold off buying if you can't find the info online).

if it's the same as this one then it looks like a 120 rad.

edit: that for the 850i not the gt so rad is different

edit- safe to say im screwed, i have no idea what fittings i need, size, what brands are quality, and doing this on this computer is like trying to shave a gorillas back with a pair of tweezers and butter knife........

which one? should i honestly install water cooling with what the case comes with then find a good deal?

to be honest ill have to buy additives for the liquid cooling from the get-go so if im going to pay shipping i sort of want to avoid a week of waiting and paying for more shipping later, ive spent enough as it is

honestly considering returning this case unopened for the full refund, buying the Level 10 gt and buying a kit from XSPC for water cooling

The fittings should all be G1/4"... hard to say what comes with that Thermaltake though, and what size of tubing it's using (do they sell the same cooler minus the case? Info should be there).

Between those two, It's hard to say, they say the same thing... I'm not sure if "mostly copper" means the tubing is copper, but the fins are aluminum... or there's actually aluminum *inside* somewhere (which seems retarded, but who knows).

Don't go by what some retailer says, go by the manufacturers website, or reviews that have actually sacrificed one.

The ST30 or XT45... personally I'd take the XT45... simply because of the dual orientation.

But, I don't like either of them, this Is probably the one I'll get when I do... because it says Brass/Copper for "wetted materials"... it's also one of the few that's 140mm wide. (which means I can mount top or front... a bit more critical when I was still looking at single 140mm ones).

XS-PC makes good radiators, Swiftech makes alright ones.

Regarding fittings, unless you go with swivel ones, quality really doesn't matter (within reason).

At least i know i wont be paying 369$+22$tax for a 180$case and a 140$big water system

i can pay 180$ for the case and get a XSPC system

ill save 100$, because i dont think big fancy led lights and a pre built crap water cooling system is worth the 220$ i payed on top of the 180$ barebone case...

case - 179$
big water 850 - 140$

even buying the two seperate i save money, guess ill HAVE to wait, at least ill make a decent purchase on a case+water cooling, no more rushing orders and overpaying for these trash scam setups
