I think these are what Termie was referring to, Termie please correct me if I am wrong:

Samsung 840 120GB $100
Samsung DDR3 1600 8GB $40

And on the OP's question about the 7850 vs. the 7870, it's not that the 7870 isn't faster - it is. And both overclock well. The 7850's maximum, overvolted overclocked performance will bring it close to the maximum, overvolted overclocked performance of the 7870. You haven't indicated a deep desire for tinkering, though, so as between the 7850 for $175AR and the 7870 for $210AR at Newegg, I think you just need to decide what your budget is. The performance/dollar is about the same with both.
