Cheap tablets

Anyone tried one of those 100 dollar tablets or around that price range ? Hhgreg has a klu android tablet for 70 bucks. Was thinking of picking up one as a gift ?

No.

I've tried them... they really do suck. Slow, unresponsive, terrible screen rendering, and usually no google play support. There are a few gems that shine through, but the klu in particular is pretty bad (I've actually used that one).

Ah ok thanks for the input. Could not find any reviews. Dunno what to get for my younger brother. He doesn't know what he wants either so I figure since he already has a nice pc a tablet could make him happy.

If it's not taboo, go to Cowboom and find a cheap used Ipod 4 or something. Same idea as a tablet, but works 10x better. Anything on cowboom with a rating 6 or higher tends to be in very good condition.

I ended up getting him a galaxy tab 10.1 very nice when I checked it out and both siblings can use it.
