Do something positive and supportive by unbanning Tweakboy. Viva la Tweakboy!

I have to echo the words of a few of the previous commentators... Stop bullying tweakboy. When I was a child I picked on kids because I had fun doing it. Now as an adult I am ashamed of those memories. Grow up.

He's not a kid, he's an adult. But I do somewhat agree.

Not to belabor the point, nor do I post this to speak to you specifically, but just wanted to point out to the general readership here that there are children (yes children, as in 8yr olds and so forth) who frequent our forums as budding enthusiasts and it is we who are the adults in the room (literally!).

Our conduct towards one another is teaching the next generation their netiquette, live and in realtime, with firsthand examples in a fluid classroom-like setting.

Tweakboy may be an adult, or not (assumptions...), but the level of decorum we exhibit is setting an example that extends beyond just us.

Flaming and personally attacking anyone is not an acceptable behavior. Regardless of who they are!

There is on these forums a person (I am not going to name names) who mostly just gives horrendously incorrect advice to people who don't know any better... (reminds me of when I was 8 years old and a 16 year old local "computer wiz" tricked me into breaking my OS installation for the lulz). A person who intentionally gives false advice to someone who doesn't know better for the lulz is a bully.

Giving horribly wrong advice is not a punishable offense unless it is proven to be done on purpose which is extremely hard to prove (but in fact, one time I helped catch ... someone... doing that via carefully going over several of his threads as well as a PM discussion with him... and he WAS reprimanded for it; but not perm banned)

I strongly suspect there is a person here who is here to troll, but almost everything he does is so subtle that it doesn't warrant punishment. But my suspicion is not proof.
If you do suspect someone, watch them carefully and REPORT inappropriate posts. DO NOT gang up up on the person and flame them.

I never bullied anyone, ever. Not even as a very young child. I always despised bullies. I did stand up to bullies...
But what is it called when someone stronger then a bully (or a group) beat a bully when they catch him in the act of bullying an innocent?

Are we sure he is not a kid?

I can't imagine an adult messing around with his dad's computer...

I can see how a younger person who is into overclocking might see the benefit of free performance from overclocking but fail to see how messing with someone's computer is a trust and boundary issue.

i don't think it should be locked.

Sometimes things need to be talked about not pushed under a rug.

And while I agree with some of the post in here.

When is it that you draw the line?

So because we haven't walked in there shoes and lived his life does that mean we have to put up with abuse?

When is it ok to say enough is enough?

And why should you be label for saying i've had enough?

After a while it brings the quality of the forum down and it just looks bad on all of us when nothing is done about it and you have new members just getting bad advice.

If I was new here and I had to deal with that on the first thread I created why would I come back?
