I can't even launch the game anymore The .exe just closes after about 10 seconds when I watch the task manager. Going to try redownloading the game tonight. I hope I don't lose everything.

Anyone with nvidia video experience the game freezing occasionally? I have it running on Windows 8 Pro with 660 ti and 320.00 driver. It's so annoying having to start quests all over again.

I am using the same video card and same version of Windows but with the 314 driver. No problems running the game at all.

Bill, You should not lose anything if you reinstall.
The default location for "saves" and your character is: Documents, My Games, Borderlands 2, Willow Game, Save Data. You can make a copy of the three small files in the Save Data folder for extra security.

Well I decided to try this game out. Wasn't a big fan of the first one...but I didn't finish it either.
Personally I don't like cel shading, so I did a little searching and found some graphical tweaks/mods for Borderlands 2.
I used this SweetFX preset http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/142/
and the tweaks listed here http://www.gamefront.com/how-to-impr...i-file-tweaks/
There's a tweak in the config files that partially disables the cel shading and other things that give it that cartoonish look, and I must say I like the way it looks a whole lot better now. I didn't see any AA settings in Borderlands 2 itself but SweetFX adds SMAA.
Also noticed I was lagging in combat, think it was due to PhysX being on high since I have an AMD card.
so far I like the story, just hope things pick up soon - still in that beginner snowy area

The season pass includes the 4 story DLCs ($9.99 a piece) and the Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode upgrade ($4.99). The two extra classes (Mechromancer/Psycho) aren't included in the season pass and cost $10 each.
I bought the season pass for $10 when it was on sale at amazon and recently got back into the game. I just finished a playthrough with Maya. My main problem with the dlc's is that there didn't seem a good time to play them. I started Captain Scarlett around level 22 and after beating it much of the main storyline thereafter was a cakewalk since I was at a higher level with better gear. I waited until beating the final boss to start Mr. Torgue's DLC but that was a cakewalk (except for the final boss) since my character was at a higher level than the DLC's cap.
It seems that with the addition of the DLC part of your game is going to be a cakewalk since the game doesn't scale to fit your level. I wish they would've scaled it so I had a consistent challenge throughout.

I haven't played the new Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode (UVHM) yet, but I'm assuming that if you want a good challenge, that would be the mode to use. UVHM is supposed to scale things to your level, and I'm guessing that does it for the DLC as well.

In UVHM, enemies scale to your level, have around 4x as much health, and deal increased damage. Slag also increases damage dealt a little more and lasts longer and is pretty much a necessity on tougher enemies. I think the DLC content can be played any time you feel like it, as there are some nice items to pick up and the missions are relatively simple.
Picked up the season pass during the Amazon sale as well and started playing again about a month ago. I've completed a UVHM playthrough on my Assassin with a gun build before swapping to a melee build and farming some of the raid bosses (Pyro Pete and Hyperious are somewhat easy for a melee Zer0 with good gear, i.e slag evis Rubi) but I'm getting bored with the game again, slightly. Leveling a gunzerker when I'm feeling up for it.

The trouble is that I have yet to complete the true vault hunter mode to unlock it. By the time I complete the game a second time I might be burned out on it. I wish that once you beat the game you could roll a new character starting at lvl 31 in true vault hunter mode. I'm interested in playing as Zero but I'm not excited at the prospect of starting over at lvl 1.
Right now I'm going to take a brake from borderlands to play Tomb Raider (picked it up for $20 at GMG). After that comes Resident Evil Revelations (which I also bought on sale from GMG for $40). Once I finish those two I'll go back to borderlands to keep it fresh.

Zero sniper was probably my favorite class. I am playing as a mechromancer now, and thought it would be really powerful. It is but it is really annoying that you have to have a full magazine to heal, not to mention reloading destroys your anarchy stack.

Discord is your friend, especially if you have a ton of Anarchy. Heck even if you don't. I mowed through my first play with Axton. Played her as my second character, and I definitely had to change my play style for her. The most annoying this about Anarchy is that reloading is the same button as opening (XBOX)

He is quite fun to play, and his action skill rocks in normal. unfortunately from what I've read the way roid damage etc works on his action skill makes it basically useless in UVHM but his other skill trees seem to make up for that quite nicely.

They are different keys but next to each other on the PC. Really annoying to hit reload and lose your anarchy stack when you meant to hit use.
I am using a lot of the weapons for my mechromancer that I used for my sniper Zero build, and surprisingly even with a fairly large stack of anarchy I got more damage with the Zero.

The worst part about playing the Mechromancer is how long it takes to build up Anarchy. There really is no such thing as playing for a short time with her as it takes way too long to build up stacks.
