Thanks for the tip. Just checked it out. Seems the performance test isn't quite consistent with the old version of Magician - the sequential numbers for both my Samsung and Corsair SSDs shot up 40MB/s compared to the tests run under version 3.2. The random numbers, on the other hand, were exactly the same.
Still a very cool utility - great that it helps users choose the best settings, perform optimization, and record benchmarks.

Thanks for the link. Just installed it now, new UI is very nice and I'm glad they've retained all of the features of 3.2.
Just for the record, it's not just for Win8 as it covers XP up to Win8. Compatible with drives from the 470 to the 840 Pro.

Interesting that they felt the need to add a SSD Authentication feature to confirm if the SSD is a genuine Samsung product. Guess there must be some counterfeits circulating.
